Dr. Robert Watts has more than 30 years of experience as a corporate consultant, executive coach, and university professor. His expertise as an organizational change/development consultant, executive coach and presenter has enabled him to successfully lead broad-scale and single-subject interventions for a diverse clientele of small businesses to Fortune 500 companies across various industries, as well as non-profit entities, including major colleges, universities (published in seven languages), upon whose principles he launched his consultancy, Watts and Associates, and the Leadership Advantage Seminars (LAS).

Seminar details:

We rely on people for everything we do in life; they are inextricably tied to our success. Nevertheless, we often irrationally perceive and treat people as problems when their behavior or performance fails to align with our “Five Pillars of Self” needs, ethics, values, goals and interest. In this way, we integrate people with their behavior and approach them as the same.  Consequently, this robs people of the confidence and energy to make the very changes they need in attitude and behavior in order to acquire the “required capacity” (sufficient knowledge, skill, and perspective) necessary for producing the desired results we count on them for.

A new paradigm is formed when people are perceived separate from their gaps in behavior and performance; ergo a rational construct that facilitates the thinking that people are not, nor never can be, the problem, but instead have problems, which is a truth all people can attest to.  Given this commonality, we should suppress the reflex to draw conclusions about people, solely based on their behavior and performance and stretch our perceptional competency to understand people from the perspective of desire, feelings and intentions.

Seminar Objectives

  • To awaken people to the Three most important truths about people and why they make it impossible for people to be problems.
  • To teach people to use the phrase “People Are Never The Problem, People Have Problems” as a tool to successfully manage people problems;
  • To empower people with knowledge and skills to perceive people separate from problems
